Советы и инструкции по укладке паркетов

LAYING PARQUET
ADHESIVE LAYING OF SOLID PARQUET 10, 14, 15 OR 22MM

Laying should be done following DTU 51 - 2 (Glued Parquets). The parquet is compatible with low temperature underfloor heating, except for 22 mm.

PARQUET FLOOR STORAGE

• Your parquet should be kept in a warm dry place.

• For unfinished parquet: the package should be opened 4 to 5 days before laying.

• For finished parquet: open the package just before laying.

SUBFLOOR CONDITIONS

The support must be flat, dry and rigid:

• Incline of 2 mm for every 2 m.

• Dry : surface humidity < 3%.

Except for low temperature underfloor heating.

<2% (22 mm parquet cannot be laid on underfloor heating).

<0.5% on anhydre screed.

• The premises should be heated, with humidity of the atmosphere

between 40% and 60%.

PARQUET FLOOR LAYING

GLUING : it is essential to use a PS polymer “NAVYCOL” glue,

approximately 1.2 kg per m2.

Gluing is possible on cement, concrete tile, paving, conglomerate, old rigid parquet, fixed tiling and plywood.

Other supports: consult your distributor.

Play for expansion around each unit should be 1.5 mm per metre on each side with a maximum of 8 mm.

WARNING never put glue on tongue and groove of the parquet floor.

IMPORTANT: Make sure that there is sufficient humidity in the atmosphere.

After laying the parquet, it is important to keep the humidity within reasonable limits, between 40% and 65%, especially if the drying of the

parquet takes place with the help of under floor heating.

WARNING: If laying is on a support without any moisture barrier, an underfloor ISO ALU TB special for ascent has to be layed.

LAYING ON LOW TEMPERATURE HEATING FLOORS

FULL GLUING IS ESSENTIAL

The solid parquet floor laying 10, 14 or 15 mm is possible on low temperature underfloor heating.

Nevertheless, some precautions are necessary:

1. Switch on the underfloor heating, then increase the temperature in 5°C stages each day until you reach a final maximum temperature

of 28°C.

2. Maintain the temperature for 4 weeks before laying (in summer and in winter).

3. 48 hours before laying the parquet, switch off the heating. Before laying the parquet, check the humidity of the surface, which should be less than 2%.

4. Gluing should be carried out with a PS polymer “NAVYCOL” glue which can be applied with a spatula.

5. Three days after laying, switch on the heating again and increase by stages until you reach the desired temperature.

Sudden temperature changes should be avoided.

Thermal resistance of 10 mm solid wood parquet = 0.043 m2 °K/M (14 mm = 0,061 m2 °K/M).

6. During periods of heating slight joins between the strips can appear.

FINISH:

Our accessories are finished with a matt varnish to match varnished and oiled parquets. To obtain a satin finish, polish or renovating polish can be used.

MAINTAINING PARQUET

SOME USUAL PRECAUTIONS

• Remember to put protective pads on chairs and furniture

• Clean up the floor regularly using vacuum cleaner, broom or wool rag

• Never wash hardwood floors with abundant water

VARNISHED PARQUET FLOOR

(RECOMMENDED FOR DOMESTIC USE)

After laying we recommend to put two layers of pure Metamat

Blanchon, and then to put it once or twice a year depending on use. For weekly upkeep, wipe with Lisabril Blanchon.

OILED PARQUET FLOOR

It requires a regular and adapted maintenance. It is strongly recommended to apply a thin layer of the maintenance oil Blanchon after laying. Let dry before using the place. Weekly, use the Natural Soap Blanchon for parquet. Monthly, use the maintenance oil Blanchon.

Frequency: Once or twice a year, depending on use. This product will keep varnished parquets in good condition and will prolong their lives.

Take care: the moist cloth has to be clean and flexible. With a new cloth, lines will appear.
